Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA)
Website accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA
In short
Kotoh Labs audits and fixes websites to WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard most public agencies and many nonprofits are expected to meet. We test with automated tools and by hand (keyboard, screen reader, zoom and contrast), fix templates so new content stays accessible, and flag PDFs and media that need attention.
Updated
How Kotoh approaches it
Accessibility fixes that live only in one-off page edits tend to break again with the next update. We fix the templates and components first, so new pages inherit the fixes, and then give editors a short guide to keep content accessible.
Every site we build runs an automated accessibility check on every page at desktop and phone widths before launch, as our own sites like Longview Provisions and Valor Padel do.

Questions buyers ask
What is WCAG 2.2 AA?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are the international standard for accessible websites. Level AA is the level most laws and policies point to; version 2.2 added criteria for focus visibility, target size and accessible authentication.
Do automated scanners make a site compliant?
No. Automated scanners catch only part of the problems. Keyboard testing, screen-reader testing and human review of content are needed too, and we do both.
Can you fix our PDFs?
We triage them: high-traffic forms and documents are best converted to accessible web pages, and the rest can be remediated or replaced. We list each one with a recommendation.
Do you offer an accessibility certification?
No, and no one can certify WCAG conformance in an official sense. We provide test results, fixes and a retest report you can rely on and share.
